How to permanently Delete your Facebook Account?

After you have decided with a cold mind to delete your Facebook account and download your data, follow these steps to delete your Facebook account permanently:

1. Open Facebook and tap the three horizontal lines in the bottom-right corner of the screen and scroll down and tap ‘Settings and Privacy’ and then tap on ‘Settings.’

2. Scroll down to ‘Your Facebook Information’ and tap on ‘Account ownership and control’.

3. Click Deactivation and Deletion and choose Permanently Delete Account, then click Continue to Account Deletion.

4. Click Delete Account, enter your password, and finally click on Continue.

After deleting your account, you get a 30-day time to reactivate your account. Facebook does this in case you have a sudden change of mind and do decide you want to keep it after all.  For this, Go to Facebook and log in with your email and password to restore your account.
